Description

A new Global Workforce Study by global HR consultant Towers Watson found that over two-thirds of U.S. workers “are not fully engaged in their work and are struggling to cope with work situations that don’t provide sufficient support.” 
The Deloitte Millennial Survey released in January 2014 found that 70% of millennials see themselves working independently at some point rather than being employed within a traditional organizational structure. 
It also found that the top reason why millennials leave their companies after two years is because of a lack of career and personal opportunities. A big reason for that is that millennials want things companies aren’t currently giving them: autonomy, creativity, and meaning.
Who has the biggest control over an employee’s experience within the company? It’s their manager! If your managers or supervisors aren’t concerned about employee engagement or don’t see their role in employee engagement, then you will see good employees leaving for greener pastures.
